Around 95 years ago, Tianren's consumers began to favor flexible packaging. Tianren immediately joined forces with Thomson Printing £Packing to develop reusable self-supporting Tea Bags. Thomson Printing £Packing is one of the largest flexible packaging suppliers in Taiwan. The re-sealable zipper bag offers consumers convenience and protects the tea from moisture. Consumers can also use this re-sealable bag for all the tea after it has been soaked, which has also extended the value of Tianren's products.

For example, the top of the standing pouch is tapered, and the versatile film material cannot be used to contain the tea leaves. The gusseted pouch has advantages in this regard. New Technology Meets Consumer Needs
“When Ren Ren told us that when their consumers asked for a recloseable bag with gussets, we immediately found a solution,” said Thomson’s Chairman Huang. Through Nishibe's exclusive Taiwan agent Ken-Hama, Thomson selected and introduced the first Nishibe Kikai HSP-500-STG device.
“We saw the potential of Nishibe equipment in several production applications, so we immediately made a purchasing decision.” Huang said, “Although our investment is very large, the revenue has exceeded the initial investment. Because we bought this new Taiwan equipment, our production capacity has been expanded to provide re-sealable lining bags for many items such as pet food and coffee.”
Nishibe has a pre-formed bag making machine with Zip-Pak's patented horizontal zipper technology. The HSP-500-STG incorporates Zip-Pak's latest technology to produce re-sealed lining bags with a width of 100-350mm.
The bags used by Tianren Tea, Thomson selected PET, vacuum metallized polyethylene terephthalate, or linear low density polyethylene film, with good shade separation. The film is printed in gravure 6 or 8 colors. Thomson uses the Agfa, SCREEN or Creo presses in his own factory to complete the graphic printing of the Tianren tea bags. The printed film roll was then fed into Nishibe's HSP-500-STG device to complete the bag forming and zipper mounting process.
Mr. Huang said, “The new packaging looks better and looks more like a box than a flat pillow pouch. This kind of pouch can increase the capacity by slightly increasing the amount of film material used. The design can be flexible."
